We'd just crossed the border and a few drops of rain started, then - smack, smack, thwunk. "Is that hail?"
After about a minute of listening to the smacking we finally realized it was not hail, but rather ... corn.
The transport in front of us was losing kernals of corn out the back of his truck!
We have chosen to call our GPS "Henrietta" as our first motel is located in a suburb of Rochester called Henrietta.
Henrietta with the help of a gas station attendant helped immensely when we missed our turn-off and had to travel an extra 17 miles to find a turnaround, then come back to find that our wheelchair accessible room had been given away (yes we asked for late check in). Sigh.
Hopefully we'll do better tomorrow.
